Help for Organizing Productive Experiences (HOPE) for the Culturally Diverse Gifted and Talented.
Frasier, Mary M.; And Others
Positive approaches to the administration and management of programs for culturally diverse gifted and talented children are suggested. An administrator offers five suggestions for building an atmosphere for culturally diverse gifted students. Teaching dimensions for this population are identified, and curriculum planning and teaching strategies are considered. Strategies are outlined which build on students strengths, such as the preference for physical and visual learning styles rather than aural, and the problem centered rather than abstract centered approach to problem solving.
