Second Term (Winter Quarter/Spring Semester) Student Enrollments in the Public Community Colleges of Illinois: FY1977.

This document contains student enrollment data for the second term (winter quarter/spring semester) of 1976-77 for Illinois public community colleges. Enrollment counts are based on the number of students attending the various public community colleges on the tenth day of the second term. Total headcount enrollment was 316,899, an increase of 1% from the previous year but a decrease of 2.7% from the first (fall) term. Full-time equivalent enrollment was 150,738, a decrease of 1% from the previous year and a decrease of 2.1% from the first term. Of the total second term enrollment: freshmen students comprised 48.2%, sophomores 18.7%, and unclassified students 33.1%; females comprised 50.9%; in-district students comprised 94.5%; day attendance accounted for 63.9%, evening attendance for 34.7%, and weekend attendance for 1.4%; and on-campus enrollment accounted for 80.5%. Baccalaureate parallel enrollments were down, while those in occupational and other areas were up.
