Consultation as a Counselor Intervention.
Myrick, Robert D.
This monograph provides answers to various questions concerning the role of consultant for the counselor. The author argues strongly for a systematic, carefully planned approach, and provides a step-by-step description of the consultation process. Taped interviews are included to give a more vivid picture of the process at work. Discussed also are such areas as individual and group consultation, teacher consultation, including a full plan for an in-service training workshop, parent consultation, research and theory in consultation, and a brief mention of some traps into which the inexperienced would-be consultant may fall.
