Gifted Girls: Scientists and Mathematicians of the Future.
Fox, Lynn H.
Research pertaining to the small number of female students in the sciences and mathematics is examined. This research shows that, compared to males, females are not as likely to develop interests in mathematics and science at an early age, are not encouraged by parents and teachers to seek careers in these areas, and have fewer appropriate feminine role-models.
