The second section discusses the proceedings of the Career Education Community Resources Conference held at Portland State University (March 11, 1976). The third section (1) describes current theory and definitions of career education relevant to the college and university levels, (2) presents an overview of career education, and discusses the cluster concept, life roles, levels of career education, and the difference between career and vocational education, and (3) lists types of community resources, college and university resources, and selected career education concepts. The fourth section offers specific recommendations for types of community resources that are needed generally to enhance college and university education.
