To facilitate planning for future development of professional materials libraries in Educational Planning Region 12 of Michigan, a study was undertaken to: (1) identify the perceived needs of administrators and teachers for materials and services in professional libraries, and (2) determine the present status of holdings and services. Questionnaires were completed by a large, stratified sample of teachers and administrators, and results were used to identify needs and to make recommendations regarding library location, organizational structure, holdings, staffing, etc. This report describes research objectives, outlines data collection procedures, and summarizes results.
