Collected are reports of experimental instructional projects and educational programs generated by teachers at the Big Ten universities. The purpose is to exchange information among college teachers, administrators, and educational researchers about ways to improve the conditions for learning. The focus is on changes in a particular discipline area, but many arrangements can be easily adapted for use in other departments and interdisciplinary programs. Section one on subject matter describes department-based projects. Section two on institutional support includes descriptions of institutional facilities, instructional media arrangements, and broad programs that span different disciplines.
