Major activities of the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education are reviewed. The Commission's primary concern is the strengthening of all the state's institutions of higher learning, to the end that quality education and training beyond high school may be available to every citizen who desires it and can be expected to profit from it. Statistical data are provided regarding: federally funded programs; program approvals; in-service teacher training; medical and health education; two-year postsecondary education; enrollments; student assistance programs; Higher Education Management Information System; Computer Advisory Committee; state appropriations for colleges and universities; capital improvements; Commission expenditures for 1974-75.
