The constituency research process outlined gives guidelines for establishing committees on resources to screen potential contributors to an institution. The concept, practice, and results of finding, reaching, and "selling" the ten percent of an institution's constituency which can make the difference in dollar support is an "a priori" management policy and administrative practice.
