College Placement and Credit by Examination, 1975: Advanced Placement Program, College-Level Examination Program.
College Entrance Examination Board, New York, NY.
The College Board's Advanced Placement Program (APP) and College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) provide demonstrations which, when completed in secondary school or elsewhere, prepare new students for advanced study at college. A 1975 questionnaire was sent to the presidents of all two-year and four-year colleges seeking information on their institutions' APP and CLEP policies for students entering in the fall of 1975. This document includes: (1) all responding institutions, by their full names, alphabetically within their states; (2) the lowest APP grades and CLEP score normally accepted for some sort of placement, exemption, and/or credit; (3) brief descriptions of each institution's general APP and CLEP policies; and (4) the name of the official to whom requests for more detailed information may be sent.
