Futures Information Interchange Newsletters contain practical teaching methods and learning activities for introducing future studies into the classroom. Although the newsletter is directed toward elementary and secondary teachers, it is intended to be of value to educators at the preschool and university levels also. Lead articles define the role of a futurist, examine the skills necessary to fill that role, and discuss how those skills can be taught. Additional articles contain a future-cognition questionnaire, a war/peace learning experience designed for a class of approximately 30 junior and senior high students, and creative activities for future studies courses. Activities to help students plan their personal life and expand the realm of the possible, techniques for introducing the metric system, and a curriculum process for teachers to follow when developing a future-oriented curricula are also included.
