This report contains the results of an international survey of future studies, carried out between March 1974 and March 1975. The purpose of the survey was to obtain a profile of major futures studies activities--who is doing what, with what objectives, and using which approaches and methods. Of 3,000 organizations and individuals in a variety of institutional settings at different levels of engagement with future studies surveyed by mail, 433 organizations and 527 individuals from 50 countries responded.
