Communication and Support for Change in School Science Education.
Harding, Joyce M. M.
This study uses as data parts of the material gathered within the Curriculum Diffusion Research Project, a British project which examined the diffusion of new science curricula. The concept and context of curriculum diffusion as a new field of enquiry in Great Britain is discussed, together with the problems associated with its study; special attention is directed toward the status and acceptability of the case-study method of enquiry in educational research. Various indicators are examined to discuss the influence of curriculum development projects in science, and entries to the Nuffield O level examinations are used to discuss the full use of the projects.
