A Bibliography of Materials on the American Indian and the Spanish Speaking.

Arranged alphabetically by author or title, this annotated bibliography lists approximately 447 selected materials on the Spanish speaking and American Indian. The bibliography's six sections list 153 American Indian books; 180 books in English, Spanish, or both; 37 periodicals; 36 recordings; 38 filmstrips and slides; and 3 study prints and posters. These materials are coded according to lower elementary, upper elementary, junior high school, senior high school, and adult. Published mainly between 1950 and 1974, the materials cover such topics as art, poetry, cultural differences, language, customs, socioeconomic influences, history, folk culture, and literature. All the materials are eligible for purchasing with funds from Title II of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Addresses for 131 publishers and distributors are also given. (NQ)
