This publication provides historical data on enrollment, weekly student contact hours (WSCH), and average daily attendance (ADA) for the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCS) and for each college in the District. Detailed enrollment data by student category, ethnic group, and age are provided for the past 2 to 3 years. Less detailed enrollment data are available for 10 years; WSCH and ADA are available for 8 years. Four-year summer enrollment, WSCH, and ADA are also presented. Since the 1966-67 school year, total District enrollment has increased 72.4 percent in the fall and 71.5 percent in the spring. Day enrollment increases in both fall and spring have exceeded evening enrollment increases. The average age of LACCD students has experienced a continuous rise, while white students continue to decline as a percentage of the reporting student body. Nevertheless, white students still represent the largest ethnic group in the District. Student class loads for day students declined in 1975-76, while evening class loads increased. Total 1975-76 District ADA increased 10.3 percent over 1974-75. Appended to this document are enrollment figures for the District's Instructional Television program since its establishment in 1971.
