Weapons Maintenance Career Ladder AFSCs 46230, 46250, 46270, and 46290. Occupational Survey Report.
Air Force Occupational Measurement Center, Lackland AFB, TX.
The report describes an occupational survey of the Weapons Release function of the Weapons Mechanic Specialty (AFS 462XO), conducted by the Occupational Survey Branch of the Unites States Air Force Occupational Measurement Center, from November 1974 through October 1975. The report describes the development of the survey instrument and its administration to 1,423 career ladder incumbents at U.S. air bases throughout the world. The inventory booklet was composed of two parts: a background information section in which job incumbents provided general information about themselves, and a duty-task list section which assessed the relative amount of time spent on tasks performed in their current jobs. The latter section consisted of 527 tasks under 21 duty sections. The resulting summaries of tasks performed by airmen are grouped by skill level, Major Command (MAJCOM), and first job assignment.
