Getting It Together: An Integrated Approach to Junior High Career Education: A Teachers Guide.

The document contains instructional materials for a course called Getting It Together (G.I.T.-7) which is designed for the seventh grade level. The course, an exemplary career education project of the Cal Young Junior High School in Eugene, Oregon focuses on two major areas: (1) self-awareness--22 lessons focusing on learning activities dealing with the vocabulary and concepts of self-awareness and life roles, and (2) the world of work--21 lessons focusing on learning activities dealing with the vocabulary of the world of work, job application, work roles, and job study. Objectives and Procedures for each of the lessons are listed. The major portion of the book (89 Pages) contains 49 appendixes which are the student worksheets and instructional materials to be used together with the lessons presented in the text.
