The document presents unit plans which offer lists of experiences and competencies to be learned in the construction, planning, and building of fences. The lessons are comprised of seven areas: (1) planning the location and arrangement of fences, (2) fencing and fence building equipment, (3) types of fences, (4) constructing fences, (5) end and corner construction and bracing, (6) fences for special passageways, and (7) the mathematics of fencing. Each lesson plan presents information related to its: (1) objectives, (2) introduction, (3) subject matter presentation (questions and points to stress), (4) student assignment, and (5) references. A series of 16 illustrations presents different types of materials and tools used for fencing. (EC)
