1900 Doctoral Dissertations on Career Education.
York, Edwin G., Comp.
The listing consists of a selection of doctoral dissertations concerning career education available through Xerox University Microfilm during 1970-May, 1975 and all dissertations related to career preparation listed in the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) from November, 1966 until May, 1975. The dissertations, all in roll microfilm form, are available for use through the New Jersey Occupational Resource Center in Edison, New Jersey. In the selection of materials priorities were given to dissertations that focused on the following topics: key words such as career, job, occupation, vocation, and work; major theories of career development and occupational choice; and self-awareness, career awareness, and attitudes (since these relate to the six goals of career education in New Jersey). Inclusion of career-related studies of the educational professions was greatly limited. A table lists ERIC ED numbers and the Xerox University Microfilms document equivalents. The collection of dissertations is presented in two sections: (1) keyword index, listing keyword, title of dissertation, author, and publication number of Xerox University Microfilms; and (2) author index, listing author, title of dissertation, degree information, institution, pages, reference to abstract in Dissertation Abstracts International, and publication number of Xerox University Microfilms.
