Written for librarians and teachers, this monograph is a guide to documentary and reference sources in political science. The book is divided into three topic areas which help facilitate the location and retrieval of hundreds of source books. Part one focuses on the American federal govenment and explains what sources are available from or about government publications, the Constitution, the Congress, the executive branch, and the federal courts. Part two is a guide to general reference works about political science including almanacs, biographies, political dictionaries, and encyclopedias. Part three provides research tips for how to use the library most effectively and suggests ways to take full advantage of national archives, files, and manuscripts. (DE)
