Suffield Board of Education, CT.
This project carried out by members of the school system presents a detailed description of the town of Suffield, Connecticut and its public school system, and then specifies the counseling services provided in the school system. It details the attempts to clarify the role of counselors as perceived by various parts of the school system (e.g., administrators, teachers); the congruity between counselors and other in perception; and the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of all concerned with the counseling services. Since the paper provides extensive details and specification of approaches as well as questionnaire content and responses, it can provide a practical guide and model for other schools and school systems interested in initiating their own research projects for assessing and evaluating their counseling services.
