This report begins with a demographic profile. Among the topics discussed are marital status and h ousehold composition, female heads of household, general income analysis, the earnings gap within occupations and industries, participation of women in the labor force and characteristics of women workers over the lifespan. The report then focuses on Public Assistance: Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC). This section includes an overview of AFDC and Work Incentive Program (WIN).
