McCrory, David L.
The Center for Teachers in the Technologies was designed to upgrade teacher competence in: (1) instructional strategies, (2) diagnostic skills, (3) background information, and (4) curriculum. Viewing itself as a service organ for teachers, the center responded to needs articulated by the educational community by designing and delivering brief, well-focused units on problem solving in the technologies. The center provides leadership, information, and instructional resources for the community in areas such as teaching the metric system, technological curriculum in the elementary school, aerospace education, etc. The objectives and accomplishments of the center are described in detail, and the appendixes concentrate on the inservice and instructional units that the center has developed.
