The guide, part of an exemplary career education program for junior high school students, provides eight individual study instructional packets oriented toward eighth grade English students. Each lengthy packet lists goals, learning objectives, tasks, and evaluation procedures. Topics covered by the packets are: knowing occupational clusters; writing the letter of request for job information; arranging an interview by phone; taking a personal interview; writing a thank-you letter; sharing job hunting experiences with others; taking a career and personal inventory; and knowing job forms.
