McDonald's Ecology Action Pack.

This ecology pack, designed for teacher use, focuses on the development of environmental awareness. The materials in the pack are designed to be used to introduce existig units of study, serve as a high interest supplement, or as a source of special projects. They are intended to stimulate thinking and activity that will carry beyond the school. The pack contains the following five units: Unite 1, Make Your Own Ecology Mini-Spinner, an unusual ecology poster requiring group action; Unit 2, Let's Look at the Food Chain, focuses on the interdependencies of man and nature; Unit 3, Drip the Water Drop and Save Me, examines water cycles, problems, and solutions; Unit 4, is a very short history of trash and how paper can be recycled; and Unit 5, Be an Ecology Champion, focuses on the student's personal responsiblity to the environment. The units include background information and activities. An overhead transparency, ditto masters, and a bibliography are included in the pack. (TK)
