Cross Age Tutors.
This guidebook presents a detailed description of a cross-age tutoring program designed for junior high school students who worked with children in the lower grades, and for third grade children who worked with kindergarteners and first graders. Discussed are the concepts and rationale of cross-age tutoring, training procedures, and program operations (monthly schedules, teacher inservice, student placement, personnel responsibilities, and feedback). A manual for tutors contains specific learning activities and teaching techniques.
