Research in Military Training. Professional Paper No. 19-74.
Crawford, Meredith P.
The Human Resources Research Office (HumRRO) has undertaken research and development activities to improve Army training. Factors involved in the Army climate for training research relate to the structural characteristics of the Army itself. The several kinds of effort and the wide variety of subject matter covered by HumRRO for the Army include exploratory studies, work units, advisory services, and basic research. Studies were undertaken in the areas of: improving individual performance of both officers and enlisted men; unit training and performance; training for leadership, command, and control; language and area training; training technology and training management. HumRRO's research personnel consist mainly of research psychologists; its procedures reflect this and also its involvement with the Army. (Author/NH)
