Part 1 contains background information on geography, early history (pre-Spanish era), Spanish colonialism, prelude to American occupation, American administration, and American influences. Parts 2 and 3 discuss Filipino immigration to the United States and life in California. Suggested instructional tools and activities are provided for each subtopic. A glossary, bibliography, lists, and translations of Tagalog words in common usage, and descriptions of Filipino dances are also included. (Author/DE)
