This document presents complete descriptions of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW)-funded education experiments with the Applications Technology Satellite (ATS) program. Special note is made of the ATS-F program which is considered as the most complex, versatile, and powerful communications spacecraft ever developed. This spacecraft will serve an international community as a special broadcasting station in space. A history of the ATS program is presented. ATS-F is the sixth step in the program. A description of the ATS-F spacecraft is given, including schematic diagrams of the craft, geographical maps, and data. A list of program officials, contractor officials and the contractors is included in the report. Communication experiments, technology experiments, and other special investigations are presented.
