The Assessment of Student Performance: A Model and the Reforms.

This paper presents an overview of the trends in the assessment of student performance that are emerging from learner-centered reforms. A conceptual typology of assessment includes the purposes of assessment, characteristics of assessment criteria, assessment procedures, and uses of assessment products. Learner centered reforms are discussed in relation to this framework. (MJM)
