The discussions center on two bills before Congress which would: (1) provide a comprehensive coordinated approach to the problems of juvenile delinquency; (2) strengthen interstate reporting and interstate services for parents of runaway children; (3) conduct research on the size of the runaway youth population; and (4) establish, maintain, and operate temporary housing and counseling services for transient youth.
