Stimulation Activities Guide for Children from Birth to 5 Years.
Krajicek, Marilyn; And Others
This short guide offers simple, inexpensive activities which parents can use to help their children with motor and cognitive development. The activities are keyed to certain age levels: months 0-6, 6-12, 12-18, 18-24, and years 2-3, 3-4, 4-5. The program builds skill on skill so that the child will experience constant success in carrying out increasingly difficult activities. For each age level there is (1) a brief introduction which describes the capacities of the child at that age; and (2) a list of activities combined with a list of objects or stimulation used in the activities. The booklet also includes recipes, words for circle games, a short list of suggested readings with availability and prices, and activity sheets designed to help the parent record the child's development.
