Career Development for Long-Range Planners.
Palmer, Charles D.
The increased emphasis on military long-range planning indicates that it may be timely to establish a career development program for officers in that field. The paper reviews the characteristics of long-range planning including some of the tools and techniques which can be applied to that process. A career development program is proposed for the identification, training, and assignment of military long-range planners with discussion as to means for accomplishing those development actions.
