This final report of "Meeting of Experts" summarizes the major issues raised by participants of the spring 1974 UNESCO meeting on the psychological development of children from birth to 6 years of age and implications for the educational process. Five position papers, presented by individuals representing a broad range of interests and expertise in child development and educational administration, formed the background for these discussions and provided the experts with an opportunity to debate many current issues in child development such as language standardization, moral education, informal learning, nutrition, cognitive development, self-concept, teacher role, etc. The conference's conclusions and recommendations are summarized at the end of the report.
