Copyright Law Revision. Report Together with Additional and Minority Views (To Accompany S. 1361). Ninety-Third Congress, Second Session. Calendar Number 946.
Congress of the U.S., Washington, DC. Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
In its report on the bill (S. 1361) for the general revision of the copyright law, the Senate Committee on the Judiciary presents its amendments to the bill followed by its analysis and recommendations. As amended, the bill provides for the general revision of the copyright law, the establishment in the Library of Congress of a National Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works, and a new type of protection for ornamental designs of useful articles. Included in the analyses are the additional views of Senator John V. Tunney on the cable television provisions of the bill, and those of Senator Hugh Scott on the cable television and recording arts performance royalty sections. A minority report suggests changes in the recording arts performance royalty provisions. (For the text of S. 1361 see IR 001 290.) (Author/SL)
