Career Information: Marketing and Distribution.
American Vocational Association, Inc., Washington, DC.
The publication is a bibliography prepared in an attempt to assist guidance and distributive education personnel in their task of securing relevant published career information. Depending on overall adequacy, three categories of the National Vocational Guidance Association (NVGA)--highly recommended, recommended, and useful--were used in rating each publication listed in the bibliography. The title and source of each publication, its type, year of publication, number of pages, price, level of vocabulary, and NVGA percentile rating are listed. Publications are presented by occupational sections. These sections are: advertising services; apparel and accessories; automotive; finance and credit; floristry; food distribution and services; general merchandise; hardware, building materials, farm and garden supplies, and equipment; home furnishings; hotel and lodging; industrial marketing; insurance; international trade; petroleum, real estate; recreation and tourism; transportation; wholesale trade; distributive education; and general career publications (1) jobs for women, (2) career selection, and (3) jobs in industries or business. Listings of general career information monographs, career reference materials, and a directory of publishers conclude the volume. (NH)
