This workbook is designed to serve as training experience for educational evaluators at the preservice (graduate school) or inservice stages. The book comprises a series of exercises in the planning, execution, and reporting of the evaluation of a large-scale educational program in this case Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. The exercises are based on actual data and strategies employed in the evaluation of Title I by the Bureau of Elementary and Secondary Education, U.S. Department of Education, for fiscal year 1969. The workbook is a series of related paper and pencil exercises with colateral reading materials, which can be utilized both in supervised and self-instructional modes. The trainee reads the background materials, then is led through a series of exercises. Enclosed packets include background material, evaluation schema, and questionnaires. (Author/SE)
