The Efficacy of Ad Hoc Service Teams as Perceived by Program Directors. Teacher Education Forum Series. Vol. 1, No. 9.
Harty, Harold; And Others
This study reports the findings of a telephone interview conducted with 12 teacher education project/program directors at Indiana University to ascertain the directors' perceptions and reflections regarding the quality and quantity of services rendered by ad hoc service-oriented teams and centers within the Division of Teacher Education. These teams and centers were established to facilitate program balance and monitor activities that were specified in the original Institutional Grant Proposal to the U.S. Office of Education. Most comments were positive, with directors perceiving the help received as beneficial and suited to their particular program/project needs. General comments suggested areas where additional services or help were needed. These responses were helpful for decision makers in planning for the type and structure of service teams and centers to be established in the future. (Author)
