The National Dissemination Project for Post-Secondary Education: A Final Report.
Washington State Board for Community Coll. Education, Olympia.
Intended for researchers and professionals, this report provides a detailed review of planning strategies, action steps, and outcomes of the National Dissemination Project for Post-Secondary Education from 1972 to 1974. Drawing on the background that led to the project, the report covers the planning stages in detail and provides comprehensive examples of strategy and planning documents. The actual process of dissemination is then described, and all the strategies used for promoting educational change through dissemination of innovative ideas are separately reviewed. Different methods used in dissemination are analyzed individually for effectiveness in promoting change. The final report also describes original systems or models developed through the project. It discusses cost-benefit and other forms of evaluation, lists clients and project publications, and developes a series of mathematical concepts that could be used for basic research on dissemination. Case studies and illustrative documents are included in an appendix. (Author)
