Tactical Dissemination. The National Dissemination Project for Post-Secondary Education: Report on Knowledge Utilization.
The National Dissemination Project was originally funded by the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity to develop and test a more aggressive model for educational dissemination--a model aimed at increasing the usefulness of information for the practictioner. In this final report, the NDP dissemination model is presented, predicated on the following objectives: (1) to build and facilitate the development of local client initiative, (2) to expand and strengthen the client organization in becoming a more viable and powerful force capable of dealing with problems affecting it, and (3) to educate the client in the utilization of basic planning skills. The report begins with a background to the NDP. Following this, a series of conclusions and recommendations for the dissemination and utilization of knowledge are presented. Existing community college conditions are briefly described, and Federal dissemination efforts aimed at improving the quality of American education are analyzed. Finally, the NDP "Tactical Dissemination" model is presented and analyzed. (Author)
