The short stories, poems, and cultural descriptions about American Indians (volume 1 of two) are the result of a combined effort of the 7th grade students of Rice School District (Sacaton, Arizona), their teacher, and the parents and friends of the students of the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation (Arizona). The 24 student contributors prepared 26 articles on Apache Indians. A short vocabularly of Apache and English words is given at the end of the document. (KM)
