1971-72 Administrative Compensation Survey.
College and Univ. Personnel Association, Washington, DC.
The intent of this study was to produce something more than a tabulation of salaries for college and university administrators. Institutional chief administrative officers devote a great deal of time to personnel matters, and especially to matters concerning members of the professional staff. This research attempts to speak to these concerns by describing current compensation arrangements, by identifying the relationships that exist among positions regardless of absolute compensation, and by raising questions and suggesting areas for further research. The data were collected by means of institutional questionnaires and are presented for academic year 1971-72. Further, the information is presented in both discussion and tabular forms. (Author/HS)
