Framework for Speech Communication in California Public Schools, Grades Kindergarten through Fourteen.
Brosbe, Jeffrey R., Ed.
The main function of this speech communication framework is to present a general structure of objectives for sequential instruction in oral communication, grades K-14. It consists of sample activities related to the goal structure and organized in five learning levels. The six main goals listed under the general goal are broad educational concepts and are not stated in terms of student performance. Each level of subgoal further refines the general statement, introducing objectives appropriate for lesson units written in terms of student performance. The activities suggested in the grade level chapters are organized around the speech communication objectives given in the general goal structure. (HOD)
