Parameters are set within which planners may explore a variety of flexible ideas to enhance learning experiences for young children as they embark on their first school experiences. Some of the basic considerations in planning facilities that are treated in the manual are: indoor spaces, outdoor spaces, ancillary spaces, transportation, size of building, and parent involvement.
