American Association of School Administrators, Washington, DC. National Academy for School Executives.; ERIC Clearinghouse on Educational Management, Eugene, OR.
Futurism is a process of speculation on alternative possibilities for the future. Such a process leads to a clearer conception of future needs and resources. Applied to education, futurism can aid in longrange planning on a local, district, State, or national level. ERIC abstracts on the application of futurism to educational planning, announced in RIE through July 1973, are presented. The key terms used in compiling this collection are "Educational Change,""Educational Planning," and "Futures (of Society)." The following information is presented for each document: Author, title, place of publication, publisher, publication date, number of pages, ERIC document ("ED") number, price and availability, and the abstract. A subject index refers to the document listing number. The subject terms, arranged in alphabetical order, are identical to those contained in the subject index of RIE. (Author)
