The need for analysis of covariance is discussed in the context of present day education. . .new approaches to instruction including new methods, curricula, devices and patterns of classroom organization. A problem is then used as an example of a typical experiment and the reader is led step by step through the application, analysis and interpretation of analysis covariance. The explanation and example used attempt to reduce the complicated procedures to a process that can be handled by anyone with good command of ordinary arithmetic and some understanding of algebra.
