Described is an undergraduate numerical analysis course organized around projects and tasks assigned to student teams. Most teams had five students within which the student with the most computer programing experience assumed the leadership role. The leaders' responsibility extended to distribution of work assignments and coordination of group interaction. Intragroup cooperation, leadership or lack of leadership and assignment of individual final grades are among the topics and problems discussed. (JP)
