This study evaluated the in-service teacher training program in the Francis Howell R-III Schools, Columbia, Missouri. The program sought to modify the instructional behavior of teachers in the areas of a) increased pupil verbal participation, b) decreased teacher dominance of the verbal classroom environment, c) increased skill and ability to utilize and write student behavioral objectives, d) increased use of higher cognitive levels of questioning, and e) increased openness of teacher/pupil attitude. The following instruments were used in the collection of data: Organizational Climate Description Questionnaire; Process Measure for Teachers, Form A-Pretest, Form B-Posttest; Minnesota Teacher Attitude Inventory; Rokeach's Dogmatism Scale; Process Measure for Students; Program Questionnaire; and Verbal Interactive Behavior Classification System.
