The professional guide to a parent education course on the mental stimulation of handicapped young children is organized by the topics of the 12 sessions: orientation, responsive program, toys as learning tools, creativity, self concept, discipline, behavior modification I and II, language, sensory motor development I and II, and open session. Included for most of the sessions is an overview in terms of goals, objectives, and activities; a discussion guide; scripts of any audiovisual presentations; and any necessary forms.
