Georgia Statewide Testing Program Results 1972-73: 4th Grade Schools Category Report.
Georgia State Dept. of Education, Atlanta. Div. of Program and Staff Development.
This report, one of six volumes presenting the results of Georgia's statewide testing program, provides test results for the fourth grade by school category and, within categories, by school. The categories, totaling 48 for individual schools and 48 for systems, were devised in an effort to make comparisons between schools and systems more meaningful. Each category is defined by three factors which have been shown to influence achievement test scores: (1) system or school size--average daily attendance; (2) mental abilities scores of students--Cognitive Abilities Test verbal scores; and (3) income level--the percent of students above a minimal income subsistence level. No in-depth analysis of results is given in this report, which should be read in conjunction with the other reports. The following information is provided: average daily attendance, scores for the Cognitive Abilities Test, scores for the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills, mean, number of students tested, percentile rank, percentage above the minimal subsistence income level, and standard deviation.
